Cherry Ripe Smoothie Bowl

Nutritionist Casey-Lee Lyons from Live Love Nourish shares a recipe for her Cherry Ripe Smoothie Bowl. The combination of cherry, coconut and cacao, topped with crunchy granola, make a gluten, dairy and refined sugar free treat to satisfy and nourish. 

Prep: 10 minutes

Serves: 2

Ingredients: 

1.5 cups (200g) frozen pitted cherries

1 large frozen banana (cut into pieces)

1/3 cup (80ml) premium (can) coconut milk

1/4 cup (60ml) coconut water

1/2 cup (30g) organic shredded coconut

2 TBSP (16g) raw cacao

1/4 tsp vanilla powder

Toppings:

50g Naked Paleo Spiced Cacao Granola

Fresh cherries

Organic shredded coconut

Cacao nibs

Method:

  1. In a blender combine all ingredients until smooth (the coconut will still provide some texture).
  2. Pour into serving bowls and decorate with your favourite toppings.

Tips:

Add additional coconut milk if needed to help blend.

Add extra banana if you like it extra thick.
